12v 100w Solar charge controller - the economical solar work horse

It's a Simple Linear Solar Charge Controller / Solar Charger 

12v rated solar panels from 10w to 100 watts can be used with this board.

Max Current of  10A  highly depends on the P - Channel MOSFET Q2  and Diode  D1.

Better the Q2 MOSFET is Cooled by using bigger heatsink better the Charging Current.

a Lower RDS (on ) MOSFET  Always works best.

For Diode D1 we used 10A10 rectifier diode, but Schottky diodes can also be used.

This solar charge controller board is intended for Lead - Acid Batteries, 

but other types of batteries can also be used.

you have to set the charging voltage via RV1 as per the battery used.

After the Battery reaches the set voltage the charging current is reduced to a tickle, thus preventing over charging.

1. Low Battery indication LED is set to 10.5v, when battery goes below that, the LED lights up.

2.Full Battery indicator LED set to 12.8 volts, when the battery crosses this voltage  the led starts glowing.

3. Charging indicator LED - indicates Charging from solar panel.
